Bron Breakker defends his title against “Main Event” Jey Uso in a fight for the Intercontinental Championship.
Since he deposed Sami Zayn at SummerSlam, Breakker has enjoyed a fantastic run, capped by earning back his title in a hard-fought 2-out-of-3 Falls Match against Zayn on Raw.
Uso, meanwhile, won a Fatal 4-Way Match against Ilja Dragunov, Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed on the 9 Sept. episode of Raw, which solidified his grip as the No. 1 Contender to the Intercontinental Title.
Some weeks ago, Drew McIntyre went for one all-time vicious attack on CM Punk, smashing his bracelet in Punk’s mouth, pushing it to the latter’s mouth, and continued attacking his nemesis backstage while The Second City Saint lay prone on a stretcher.
With the career-changing Hell in a Cell showdown between Punk versus McIntyre set for WWE Bad Blood, The Scottish Psychopath is poised to return to Monday night.
World Heavyweight Champion Gunther did not allow Sami Zayn to challenge for his title as he repeatedly denied the man who had defeated him to take away his legendary Intercontinental Title reign at WrestleMania XL.
Zayn hasn’t bended though, as he continues on the mission to face The Ring General. Before him stands Gunther’s right-hand man Ludwig Kaiser, who has not uttered a single word in an attempt to try to leave his standing impression that, in his opinion, the World Heavyweight Champion is on an entirely different level than Zayn is.
Can Zayn get rid of Kaiser to get close enough to Gunther before the World Heavyweight Title showdown?
