WWE WrestleMania 42 2026 Night 2 PPV 4/19/26 – 19th April 2026

CM Punk will go head-to-head with Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. Reigns outlasted 29 other Superstars to win the 2026 Royal Rumble, earning the chance to headline The Showcase of the Immortals against any World Champion he chose. Two nights later on Raw, Punk confronted Reigns, resulting in a heated exchange. The two rivals traded shocking insults on various topics, including the quality of their historic World Title reigns, Punk’s role in bringing The Shield to the main roster, and Punk’s claim that Reigns followed his example. Reigns responded by saying that Punk is a model of what not to do and that the only reason Punk is back in WWE is because he allowed it. Reigns also criticized Punk for leaving WWE and trashing the company over a decade ago, as well as for his actions after their brief alliance at Survivor Series: WarGames. Punk called out Reigns for recent comments on “The Pat McAfee Show” and labeled him a “part-timer.” The intense standoff ended with Reigns telling Punk that he has always hated him and that he would challenge him on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

A storm is coming to The Showcase of the Immortals when WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill faces Rhea Ripley in a highly anticipated title match at WrestleMania. Cargill became the 2025 Queen of the Ring by defeating Asuka in the tournament final at Night of Champions 2025. She captured the title from Tiffany Stranton on the Nov. 1, 2025 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The dominant superstar has not lost a one-on-one match in seven months and has a unique set of skills that allows her to defeat opponents quickly. However, Cargill has never faced Ripley, who earned this title shot by defeating Alexa Bliss, Kiana James, Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez, and Tiffany Stratton in an Elimination Chamber Match. While Ripley has not held a singles title since March 2025, she has experience with epic WrestleMania moments, having previously defeated Asuka, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch in championship matches at The Show of Shows.

Brock Lesnar may have finally met his match. The Beast challenged the WWE Superstars to take on his Open Challenge for WrestleMania 42, and Oba Femi boldly accepted. Femi walked to the ring and shocked everyone by dropping Lesnar with a Fall from Grace that echoed throughout the WWE Universe. Femi then placed his foot on the fallen Beast, a rare sight for Lesnar. The former NXT Champion has remained undefeated in singles matches since arriving in December, dominating everyone in his path. At WrestleMania 42, he will face his toughest challenge yet in Lesnar, who eliminated Femi from this year’s Royal Rumble Match and has earned a reputation for destroying his opponents. An epic collision is ahead—what will happen when these giants clash?

United States Champion Sami Zayn will enter WrestleMania as champion for the first time when he takes on Trick Williams. Initially, Zayn thought he wasn’t on the WrestleMania card while rival Trick Williams learned he would be at The Show of Shows. Zayn turned this negativity into a win by challenging United States Champion Carmelo Hayes in an Open Challenge. He surprised the WWE Universe by defeating Hayes to become a two-time United States Champion. The new U.S. Champion will face Williams at WrestleMania, a battlefield Zayn knows well. This will be Trick’s first time at The Showcase of the Immortals. Can Trick rise to the occasion, or will Zayn create more WrestleMania magic?

WrestleMania 42 will feature an Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match with some of the best Superstars from Monday Night Raw. The Qualifying Matches on Main Event included JD McDonagh defeating Akira Tozawa, Dragon Lee besting Grayson Waller, Je’Von Evans outlasting Rayo Americano, and Rusev overcoming Otis. These matches set the stage for Penta to defend his championship in what promises to be an epic Ladder Match at The Showcase of the Immortals.

After being kicked out of The Judgment Day, Finn Bálor will face Dominik Mysterio. The two have been at odds ever since Bálor challenged World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk for the title, putting him in a tough position. On the March 9 episode of Raw, Bálor was attacked and expelled from The Judgment Day, ending his nearly four-year tenure. Two weeks later, Dominik Mysterio tried to regain the Intercontinental Title against Penta, but Bálor was present to stop him from becoming a three-time champion. Bálor then challenged Mysterio to a match at WrestleMania during the March 30 episode of Raw. While Bálor has fought former Judgment Day members before, this will be his first match against the group as a former member. On the April 6 episode of Raw, Bálor announced that he would call on “The Demon,” bringing back his powerful form for the first time since WrestleMania 39.
